Join The Thrills and Chills of “Paranormal 4″

Paranormal 4Not content to let a low-budget spook film set records and let go, the creator Oren Peli has sold his soul to the devil to continue the original film in a franchised series that continues to gross billions with every release. According to “Variety”, the first three films will be followed by a fourth. “Screen Rant has updated the slated release this year on October 19. This continues the franchise’s tradition of the October release in time for Halloween, as many that partake in Halloween revelry seek out scary films to celebrate.

“Paranormal” Franchise Electrifying

While the films aren’t all that scary and really more of a freaky occurrence genre, they still have an electrifying draw that begs the question, “Why?” It’s simple. Most of what occurs in the movie is typical every day events, which makes the audience relate to the characters easily and draws them in. When something out of the ordinary happens, the audience is already so emotionally invested, that it shocks the daylights out of them. Attending a midnight showing of this movie in costume is as simple as coming in your jeans and a sweater or shirt that matches the style of one of the characters in the film. Simply stated, good Halloween costumes for any of the characters in these movies follow the average person’s style of dress.

One Key Difference

A new producer will take on the making of “Paranormal 4”. Zack Estrin who works on “The River” will put his five cents in on this latest installment. With a bigger budget and a different producer, one has to wonder how different the script will read and the acting will be. At the moment, we can only speculate on these aspects while the writer for the script is being decided upon. With only a few months away from the release date, the mystery of it all will make most fans jumpier than they have ever been.

Comic-Con 2012 And “Paranormal” Fans

For all the hubbub around this movie, some of the actors made an appearance to beef up the promotions at Comic-Con 2012.
